EFEMA Index of Food Emulsifiers
In accordance with the EFEMA objectives, EFEMA first published monographs for food emulsifiers permitted in Europe in October 1976, with subsequent updates in November 1986, November 1999, January 2004, September 2009 and June 2013 and 2015. The new edition of March 2019 updates, to the best of our knowledge, emulsifier purity parameters, toxicological data, methods of analysis and provides examples of applications. However, please note that this is not a legal document. EFEMA would therefore advise you to check any purity parameter mentioned in the Index with the legal texts in force.
